In 2010 Julie was undefeated in women's category at the Steel Challenge using the S&W M&P Pro in both Limited and Production. She also claimed wins at the International Revolver Championships, USPSA Single Stack Nationals, and IDPA Nationals and at various state and regional events.

In 2009 Julie added numerous titles to her resume using the Smith & Wesson M&P Pro Series 9mm and 1911 including the prestigious Bianchi Cup. She also tried a new shooting sport and division, Open Revolver at the International Revolver Championships with the S&W Model 627 V-Comp winning her first revolver title.

Julie signed with Smith & Wesson in 2006 and began competing the Smith & Wesson 1911 and the M&P pistol. Julie took a year off from competing in 2007-2008 to start a family but it wasn't long before she was back on the range.

Julie joined the US Army and began Basic Training in July of 1995. She served nearly eight years in the Army Marksmanship Unit winning the USPSA Open & Limited Nationals, Steel Challenge and numerous state and area championships. In 1999 she was named 1999 US Army Female Athlete of the Year.
