Ladies Day on Gun Talk Radio

A 2005 Gallup poll found that only 13% of women in the U.S. personally owned a gun. However, the number of women taking control of their own self-defense has increased exponentially over the last few years, and shows no indication of stopping. Two women who have paved the way for females both in competitive shooting sports and firearm legislation will be on this Sunday’s edition of “Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk” – Julie Goloski Golob and Suzanna Gratia Hupp.

Julie Goloski Golob is a world renowned marksman, Captain of Team Smith and Wesson, and a national and international champion. Nine-time USPSA Ladies National Champion, and the only Triple Crown USPSA Ladies National Champion, Golob is passionate about introducing competitive shooting to women and girls nationwide. Julie, along with Kippi Leatham and Sharyn Cohen, started the Women of USPSA website, with one mission: “Encourage and inspire women everywhere to participate in the shooting sports by celebrating the Women of USPSA!” The website features bios of female competitive shooters, blogs and social networking pages, and fosters a feeling of community among women shooters and those that admire them.
