Ladies Day on Gun Talk Radio

A 2005 Gallup poll found that only 13% of women in the U.S. personally owned a gun. However, the number of women taking control of their own self-defense has increased exponentially over the last few years, and shows no indication of stopping. Two women who have paved the way for

Tis the Season for Giving

I love the holidays.  It’s a time of year when the spirit of generosity thrives and people make gifts of their time, money or even a little bit of themselves.  This season has already been very special for me.  I was able to make a twelve inch hair donation to Locks of Love.  This marks my fifth time and over the past ten years I have been able to donate nearly five feet of hair.  Here are some before and after photos.

Holiday Mail for Heroes

I love this time of year!  For me it’s a time to reflect, give and be thankful.  I’ve made a couple of changes to my usual holiday regimen this season.  First, I’m going green and emailing most of my holiday cards.  There are so great many ways to send your greetings electronically with photos and video – all that reduce waste!

I am sending some paper cards though to those who really appreciate it, our service members, their families and veterans who have given so much to keep us safe.  The American Red Cross has brought back Holiday Read the full story
