What a week!  I had such a great time at this year’s World Speed Shooting Championships in Piru, CA. Seeing old friends and meeting new ones is one of the main reasons I love competing.  This was the first year I have been to the event since it was acquired by USPSA so in addition to all the familiar faces, many of the fine folks from Sedro Woolley were there too.

BJ Norris – Steel Master Champion
Max Michel – Open Champion
JJ Racaza – Limited & Law Enforcement Champion
Jessie Abbate – Steel Master, Open, Limited & Rimfire Ladies Champion (Jessie had an awesome match!)
Rob Leatham – Production Champion
Julie Golob – Ladies Production Champion
Jerry Miculek – Optical Revolver Champion
Elliot Aysen – Iron Sight Revolver Champion

Scores posted at the hotel tonight have JJ Racaza in first place in Limited with BJ Norris in close second.  For the ladies race in Limited, Jessie Abbate shot a great match and will look to hang on to the lead through the end of tomorrow.  My match had some rocky moments but I had several good stages.  It looks right now I am in the lead for the women in Production.
